Short-Term Faculty Directed Education Abroad Programs

Missouri State full-time tenure-track or non-tenure track faculty members may apply to lead a short-term education abroad program. Per-course instructors may apply as co-directors with a Missouri State full-time tenure-track or non-tenure track faculty who has primary fiscal responsibility for the program.

 

Proposal Submission Deadlines

The proposal submission process will change slightly for 2025-2026 programs. There is no longer a priority deadline for Education Abroad Fair participation. Education Abroad Fair participation will be first come, first serve. Submit your proposals to the Director of International Business Programs, Mary Tomerlin (MaryPTomerlin@MissouriState.edu).

Unlike previous years, please submit your proposal to the IBP Director without your Department Head and Dean approval. The IBP Director will use a Dynamic Form process to secure the proper approvals from your Department Head and Dean. 

The proposal submission deadlines are:

  • August 2025 - January 2026: March 31, 2025

  • February 2026 - July 2026: July 31, 2025

Participation at the Education Abroad Fair on September 17, 2025 is first come, first served, so consider submitting your proposal early. The Education Abroad Fair is an excellent recruitment opportunity!
