Short-Term Faculty Directed Education Abroad Programs

Missouri State full-time tenure-track or non-tenure track faculty members may apply to lead a short-term education abroad program. Per-course instructors may apply as co-directors with a Missouri State full-time tenure-track or non-tenure track faculty who has primary fiscal responsibility for the program.

Proposal Deadlines

October-December 2024 and January 2025 programs:

February 26, 2024: Program proposal is due to the COB program director’s department head

March 4, 2024: Program proposal with DH approval is due to the COB Associate Dean for International Programs and IBP Director; the program budget is due to the Education Abroad Accounting Specialist

March 19, 2024: Final program proposal with requested edits is due to the Office of Education Abroad and IBP program director

March, May, June, July, August 2025 programs (to have a table at the E. A. Fair):

July 15, 2024: Program proposal is due to the COB program director’s department head

July 22, 2024: Program proposal with DH approval is due to the COB Associate Dean for International Programs and IBP Director; the program budget is due to the Education Abroad Accounting Specialist

July 30, 2024: Final program proposal with requested edits is due to the Office of Education Abroad and IBP program director

*Proposals submitted to the Office of Education Abroad by July 30, 2024 will guarantee the program director table space at the September 2024 Education Abroad Fair for student recruitment. All other submissions follow the deadlines below.

March, May, June, July, August 2025 programs (final due dates):

August 19, 2024: Program proposal is due to the COB program director’s department head

August 26, 2024: Program proposal with DH approval is due to the COB Associate Dean for International Programs and IBP Director; the program budget is due to the Education Abroad Accounting Specialist
